Terms of Service
Not legal advice. These terms are a starter template for store listings and Google sign-in. Muaad Hasan Kholi (Mark Kholi) is not a lawyer. Please have them reviewed before you rely on them.
These terms are an agreement between you and Muaad Hasan Kholi for the
PrayApp mobile apps (iOS com.mkholi.prayapp, Android
com.prayapp.mobile). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
PrayApp is a private Christian prayer app. You can send and receive prayers, ask for prayer, share Bible verse references, join friends and groups, and receive optional notifications. There is no public global feed. The app is a personal project, not a church, denomination, or professional counseling service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher age required in your country) to create an account. If you are under 18, you should only use PrayApp with a parent or guardian’s permission where that is required. We do not knowingly serve children under 13.
3. Accounts
- You need an account. You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple.
- Keep your password and devices reasonably secure. You are responsible for activity on your account unless you tell us it was stolen.
- Provide accurate information. Do not impersonate someone else.
- One person should not create accounts to evade a block, report, or suspension.
- We may require email confirmation. Until that is confirmed, some features (such as being found by email) may not work.
4. Your content
You keep the rights you already have in prayers, requests, blessings, photos, and group text you post. You give us a limited license to store, display, and deliver that content to the people you chose (and to keep anonymized or removed copies as described in the Privacy Policy and the account deletion page).
You should not post anything you do not have the right to share, including someone else’s private story without care. Prayer requests can be sensitive. Choose audience carefully (one friend, your friends, or a group).
Bible text shown in the app uses the World English Bible (Updated), which is public domain. Verse attachments store a reference (book, chapter, verses), not a claim that we own Scripture.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Harass, threaten, or sexually exploit anyone.
- Spam, scam, or phish.
- Post illegal content, or content that sexualizes minors.
- Impersonate another person or a ministry.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service, or try to read other people’s private prayers.
- Upload malware, or use automated scripts to create accounts or friend requests.
- Use contact matching to hunt strangers who did not opt in. Matching is for people you already know.
We may remove content, block users, or suspend or delete accounts when we believe these terms or the law were broken. Suspension can stop sign-in. If you think that was a mistake, email mkholi23@gmail.com.
6. Reporting and blocking
You can block a person and report a user, prayer, group, or blessing in the app. Reports may be reviewed by the operator or an allow-listed moderator. We are not able to monitor every prayer in real time.
7. Notifications, contacts, and photos
Those permissions are optional. Contacts are hashed on device; we do not upload your raw address book. See the Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services
Sign-in and hosting use Supabase, Google, Apple, and Expo. Their terms also apply to the parts they provide. Store purchases (when listed) are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. PrayApp does not currently charge a subscription.
9. Disclaimer
PrayApp is provided “as is.” Prayer, community, and Scripture in the app are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or mental-health care, or for emergency services. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services.
We do not promise uninterrupted service, that every prayer will be delivered, or that other users will behave well. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, prayers, or goodwill, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim (currently $0) or (b) US $50. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places, they apply only as far as permitted.
11. Ending the agreement
You may delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms. Sections that should survive (including 9, 10, and 12) remain in effect.
12. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version at this URL with a new date. If a change is material, we will try to give reasonable notice in the app or by email when we can. If you keep using PrayApp after an update, you accept the new terms, except where the law says otherwise.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without deciding which state’s courts must hear a dispute. If a court cannot enforce one part, the rest still applies. This is a starter clause — have counsel pick a state if you need a tighter venue.
